Role University Administrative Fellow Title Social Impact Fellow Email [email protected] Website https://www.linkedin.com/in/william-dingee/ Bio/Description I'm a graduate student in the Classics department with research interests in Latin literature and responses to the ancient world in modern times. I love teaching, reading, and writing. In my free time, I run a radio show on WPRB. "During the long and challenging years of graduate school, it is relatively easy for students to get habituated to thinking it is the tenure track or bust. This can be a really destructive pattern of thinking and it is important to keep an eye on the professional world outside of academia, not just as a Plan B at the end of work on a PhD, but during your time working on the degree. I'm connected with GradFUTURES through the UAF program and have been enjoying working at my internship at the University Press. It has helped to expand my sense of what work in the publishing world is like and to help me as I weight options beyond academia." I have participated in the following GradFUTURES Programs: University Administrative Fellowship LinkedIn Profile Upcoming Professional Development Events Dec 5 Managing Active Research Data Dec 7 Writing to Influence: How Academia Inspires Action with Christopher Paul Harris Dec 7 LaTeX Drop-in Consultations Dec 7 Cynthia Dwork: It’s in Your Phone.
