Position Associate Director, Teaching Initiatives and Programs for Graduate Students, The McGraw Center Role GradFUTURES Forum Speaker Title Clio Hall Award Recipient Bio/Description Sarah Schwarz joined the McGraw Center in 2013 and works with graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and faculty to enhance and promote excellence in teaching. She coordinates the graduate programming at McGraw, including the Teaching Transcript Program and the orientation for new AIs; she also leads pedagogy workshops and consults individually with graduate students and faculty on a range of topics related to teaching. Sarah is an alumna of the University of Pennsylvania, where she earned her Ph.D. in Religious Studies. During graduate school she was also an exchange scholar in the Department of Religion at Princeton. She has taught at Haverford College and then for a number of years at Colorado College. As a faculty member, she worked to bring innovative pedagogical concepts and approaches into the classroom, and her work on teaching in Religion was recognized with a 2012-13 Wabash Fellowship. She is currently completing a book entitled The Imagined Bible (Oxford University Press).
