Position Senior Project Officer, Technology Innovation Partnerships, NJ-EDA Role UAF Alum & GradFUTURES Learning Cohort Participant Title Founder, Partman Strategies LLC Website Department of Art & Archeology Bio/Description Lucy Partman received her PhD from the Department of Art & Archeology and was a University Administrative Fellow in the Office of the Dean of the Graduate School. "I had the great fortune to be part of two GradFUTURES Learning Cohorts, “American Higher Education” and "Tell Me More." The rich and expansive conversations among graduate students, faculty, and administrators about the history and current state of higher education as well as the different ways scholars can communicate were invaluable. These experiences pushed and challenged my thinking and greatly impacted my work for the better. As a University Administrative Fellow, I had the extraordinary opportunity to learn about the Office of the Dean of the Graduate School's crucial work on graduate student professional development. I collaborated on a regular basis with other UAFs and my mentor to develop a new graduate learning cohort focused on exploring leadership and career diversity in the arts and public humanities. Through this work, I connected with and learned from people all across campus, in the Princeton community, and outside of the university. Through my involvement in GradFUTURES programs, I have grown both academically and professionally. I have developed connections and enhanced skills that will benefit me in graduate school and beyond. I believe graduate students and PhDs can be agents of innovation, change, and leadership both inside and outside of academia.Over the past years, I have also had the privilege of getting to know many Princeton graduate alumni. Hearing their stories has been essential to my thinking and asking “the big questions.” I am especially grateful for the guidance and generosity of my mentor Elena Peregrina-Salvador, who I was matched with through the GradFUTURES Mentorship program."I have participated in the following GradFUTURES Programs:GradFUTURES Alum Mentorship ProgramUniversity Administrative FellowshipGradFUTURES ForumGradFUTURES Virtual MeetupsGradFUTURES Learning CohortLinkedIn Profile Related News The Humanities Expedition & Lab: Grad Students Exploring Landscape of Innovation in the Humanities Fellowship Spotlight: Leading with a Humanities Ph.D. Upcoming Professional Development Events May 27 Guided tour of "The Most Formidable Weapon Against Errors: The Sid Lapidus ’59 Collection & the Age of Reason" May 28 Effective Research Mentorship for Graduate Students: Rematch+ (Session 2) May 28 Office Hours for Humanities and Social Sciences Graduate Students (Virtual) May 30 Office Hours for Humanities and Social Sciences Graduate Students (Virtual) Jun 2 Office Hours for Humanities and Social Sciences Graduate Students (In Person) Jun 4 Effective Research Mentorship for Graduate Students: Rematch+ (Session 3) Jun 4 Office Hours for Humanities and Social Sciences Graduate Students (Virtual) Jun 6 Office Hours for Humanities and Social Sciences Graduate Students (Virtual) Jun 7 Guided tour of "The Most Formidable Weapon Against Errors: The Sid Lapidus ’59 Collection & the Age of Reason" Jun 8 Guided tour of "The Most Formidable Weapon Against Errors: The Sid Lapidus ’59 Collection & the Age of Reason" Jun 9 Office Hours for Humanities and Social Sciences Graduate Students (In Person) Jun 10 From Ph.D. to Future Success: Master LinkedIn & AI to Unlock Your Next Chapter
