Position Senior Project Officer, Technology Innovation Partnerships, NJ-EDA Role UAF Alum & GradFUTURES Learning Cohort Participant Title Founder, Partman Strategies LLC Website Department of Art & Archeology Bio/Description Lucy Partman received her PhD from the Department of Art & Archeology and was a University Administrative Fellow in the Office of the Dean of the Graduate School. "I had the great fortune to be part of two GradFUTURES Learning Cohorts, “American Higher Education” and "Tell Me More." The rich and expansive conversations among graduate students, faculty, and administrators about the history and current state of higher education as well as the different ways scholars can communicate were invaluable. These experiences pushed and challenged my thinking and greatly impacted my work for the better. As a University Administrative Fellow, I had the extraordinary opportunity to learn about the Office of the Dean of the Graduate School's crucial work on graduate student professional development. I collaborated on a regular basis with other UAFs and my mentor to develop a new graduate learning cohort focused on exploring leadership and career diversity in the arts and public humanities. Through this work, I connected with and learned from people all across campus, in the Princeton community, and outside of the university. Through my involvement in GradFUTURES programs, I have grown both academically and professionally. I have developed connections and enhanced skills that will benefit me in graduate school and beyond. I believe graduate students and PhDs can be agents of innovation, change, and leadership both inside and outside of academia.Over the past years, I have also had the privilege of getting to know many Princeton graduate alumni. Hearing their stories has been essential to my thinking and asking “the big questions.” I am especially grateful for the guidance and generosity of my mentor Elena Peregrina-Salvador, who I was matched with through the GradFUTURES Mentorship program."I have participated in the following GradFUTURES Programs:GradFUTURES Alum Mentorship ProgramUniversity Administrative FellowshipGradFUTURES ForumGradFUTURES Virtual MeetupsGradFUTURES Learning CohortLinkedIn Profile Related News The Humanities Expedition & Lab: Grad Students Exploring Landscape of Innovation in the Humanities Fellowship Spotlight: Leading with a Humanities Ph.D. Upcoming Professional Development Events Apr 19 LaTeX Drop-in Consultations Apr 19 Film Festival - Screening of "On the Adamant" (2023) by Nicolas Philibert Apr 20 Film Festival - Screening of "Other People’s Children (Les enfants des autres)" (2022) Apr 21 Office Hours for Humanities and Social Sciences Graduate Students (In Person) Apr 21 GradFUTURES Sustainability Learning Cohort: Capstone and Celebrations Apr 23 Office Hours for Humanities and Social Sciences Graduate Students (Virtual) Apr 23 Film Festival - Screening of "Banel & Adama" (2023) Apr 24 Data Stewardship Help Session Apr 24 Office Hours with James Van Wyck: Department of Anthropology Apr 24 Book in Progress Talk: Terri Ochiagha on Chinua Achebe Apr 24 Beyond Bars: The Dhoruba Bin Wahad and Robert Boyle Collection and a Panther's Fight for Truth Apr 25 Graduate Student Videography Workshop Series: Advanced Editing
