Bio/Description

I’m a PhD candidate in the Princeton History Department and I am primarily interested in Nicaean Christianity and Roman imperial authority in the late antique western Mediterranean. My research centers on how the bishops, aristocracy, and inhabitants of the western peripheral capitals of Milan, Sirmium, and Trier competed over the residency of the emperors in the 4th and early 5th centuries. This approach gives us new perspective on cities, authority, and Christianization in Late Antiquity.

One important lesson I’ve learned from navigating graduate school is that there are a multitude of paths one can take within and beyond academia. GradFUTURES is helping me, and many other students at a similar stage, in finding that fulfilling career path. The tools, opportunities, mentorship, and strong alumni network are valuable career building resources ready to be explored and utilized. Now as a Professional Development Associate, I have the opportunity of helping fellow graduate students explore these exciting possibilities!
