I received my Ph.D. in English literature in 2021. My areas of research and interest include poetry and poetics, Modern and contemporary American literature, and aesthetics. I am also a poet.
"As a fellow in the Community College Teaching Initiative, I had the pleasure of observing and working with faculty at Mercer County Community College. As a writer, I am constantly asking myself what it means to teach writing and to develop techniques, strategies, and practices of writing. The Community College Teaching Initiative has been a unique experience in that it's allowed me to explore one instance of this in the form of first-year college writing.
What advice do you have for current graduate students regarding their professional development?
