University Administrative Fellow
Bio/Description

I am a PhD student in the Department of Classics. Originally from Texas, I received my BA in Classics and Early Modern Studies from Baylor University in 2019 and my MA in Renaissance Literature from the University of York, where my study was funded by a Fulbright Award, in 2020.

"Connecting with GradFUTURES was incredibly helpful in getting oriented to my new campus and colleagues as a first-year PhD student.

Taking part in a GradFUTURES Learning Cohort really helped me to find my feet in my difficult first semester. I felt like part of a community of peers, learned how to make connections with faculty and staff, and ultimately learned about one very exciting opportunity—I'm currently doing a University Administrative Fellowship with Princeton University Press.

Completing my MA and starting my PhD during the COVID-19 pandemic has foregrounded the importance of flexibility, so I'm thrilled to be learning a wide range of professional skills during my University Administrative Fellowship with Princeton University Press. As a graduate student, I get a lot of exposure to academic publishing as a consumer and some as a potential writer, so it's really enlightening to learn about it from the perspective of the publishing staff."

I have participated in the following GradFUTURES Programs:

  • University Administrative Fellowship
  • GradFUTURES Learning Cohort
