Haina Wang, GS, CHE

University Administrative Fellow
GradFUTURES Learning Cohort Participant

Haina is a third year graduate student in the Chemistry department. She is working on inverse problems in statistical mechanics of soft matters, where she designs "polls" to molecules in order to understand their collective properties. She is also a blogger and vlogger on science and has published a book on biochemistry for children in China.

"GradFUTURES has helped me to explore a lot of opportunities that sharpen a wide range of skills beyond research. I also get to connect with inspiring people in the Council on Science and Technology, with whom I'm able to work on personalized projects that bring about real change.

I believe that science is not just about labs and papers in academia, it's about sharing the beauty of nature with everyone and making sure our technology is used responsibly. Therefore, I'm really interested in science communications alongside my academic career.

As part of my work at the Council on Science and Technology, I co-create Voices of STEM. Check out the series here!"
