Position Community College Teaching Fellow Bio/Description Elliot Taffet is a Ph.D. Candidate in Chemistry, and was a Community College Teaching Fellow. “The MCCC/Princeton Teaching Partnership Program was an exciting opportunity to practice motivating students from a variety of backgrounds through refined science communication and development of course resources to go hand-in-hand with class material. Student engagement in response to implementing certain teaching strategies enabled me to grow as an educator and decipher how best to help students internalize dense material. This opportunity is a great way for Princeton PhD candidates to gain confidence with their ability to inspire in the classroom and navigate the challenges involved with leading a course for a semester.” Upcoming Professional Development Events Sep 9 Introduction to QGIS Sep 9 Shape Your Ph.D 2024 (Session 1) Sep 10 Princeton University Library 101 Sep 10 Introduction to ArcGIS Pro Sep 10 Inclusive Leadership Learning Cohort 2024: Session 1 "Inclusive Leadership, With or Without Title or Authority" Sep 11 Mentor Undergraduate Researchers through ReMatch Sep 11 How to Create and Collect Geographic Data using QGIS Sep 11 Princeton University Library 101 Sep 12 Julia User Group Kick-Off Meeting Sep 12 Crafternoon: Crochet a Mobius Strip Sep 12 How to Create and Collect Geographic Data using ArcGIS Pro Sep 12 Getting Started with LaTeX
