Elizaveta Mankovskaia is a Ph.D. candidate in Slavic Languages and Literatures and a University Administrative Fellow in the Office of Advancement, Leadership Gifts.
"My UAF is in the Office of Advancement, with the Leadership Gifts division. My mentor is Heather Seagroatt and I'm working on a suite of follow-up materials for communication with prospects interested in funding scholarship grants. My particular focus is on formal proposals. My UAF has been a fantastically useful and inspiring experience! I learned a lot about Princeton's relationship to its donors and the intricacies of a university budget. I also got to leverage my training as a Writing Center Fellow and a literary scholar to think about the most effective ways to write appealing proposals that are both persuasive and economic. The part I especially enjoy is thinking about how to take advantage of the impressive statistics testifying to Princeton leadership in the field of financial aid and at the same time convey a human story behind the numbers."
