Position Director of University and Artistic Partnerships, McCarter Theatre Role Social Impact Fellowship Mentor Email [email protected] Bio/Description Debbie Bisno (Director of University and Artistic Partnerships) was McCarter’s Resident Producer for 6 years and is now focused on developing strategic partnerships across campus at Princeton, and bringing University life and scholarship into conversation with McCarter’s work onstage and behind the scenes. Debbie’s experience spans Broadway, Off-Broadway, London and Chicago theater. Highlights: the hit B’way musical Merrily We Roll Along, the Tony Nominated revival of Terrence McNally’s Frankie & Johnny in the Clair de Lune starring Audra McDonald and Michael Shannon; Grace, War Horse, Hair, Merchant of Venice& more. Originally from Macon, GA, Debbie began her theatrical career in Chicago as co-founder of a company called Roadworks, created with fellow Northwestern University graduates. The ensemble produced over 20 Midwest and World Premieres and won numerous awards. Debbie is an Advisory Member of The Playwrights Realm in NYC, a Board Member of a global ethics leadership program Fellowships at Auschwitz for the Study of Professional Ethics, and lives in Princeton with her husband David, and Portuguese Water Dogs, Bernice & Maude.
