Position Vice President, Team Lead for Global CIO Research, Gartner Research Board Bio/Description Ben Hertzberg is Vice President, Team Lead for Global CIO Research at the Gartner Research Board. Gartner Research Board is a member-driven research community designed for Gartner's largest client companies (greater than $10B in annual revenue). Hertzberg was previously Director, Research on Gartner's Chief Data and Analytics Officer Research Team, where he focused on data strategy, data monetization, data and AI ethics, and data and AI governance. Before Gartner, Hertzberg was Visiting Assistant Professor of Political Science at Emory University, where he researched and taught democratic theory, religion and politics, and the history of political thought. "I didn't go to graduate school intending to work for a global technology research company; I went to graduate school because I loved reading and writing about political theory and the history of political thought. Life intervenes, however, and I have found that the critical thinking, writing, and presenting skills I developed in a humanities-heavy PhD and while teaching have been invaluable to my professional life at Gartner. Steven Kelts invited me to be involved with GradFUTURES; I'm eager to share my experience transitioning out of the academy with graduate students and early career academics." I have participated in the following GradFUTURES Programs: GradFUTURES Forum, GradFUTURES Learning Cohorts LinkedIn Profile Upcoming Professional Development Events Oct 3 Using Tools to Create Models in QGIS Oct 3 Sign up for a Princeton Public Library card!
