Role GradFUTURES Forum Panelist Title Director of Communications & Senior Writer Bio/Description Rose is Director of Communications & Senior Writer, Office of Public Affairs and Communications in the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs. Rose promotes the research of 90+ tenured faculty at SPIA by way of feature stories, news releases and research briefs, Q&As, and social media. In the podcast realm, Rose produces the weekly series Politics & Polls, featuring Professors Julian Zelizer and Sam Wang. She also hosts, produces, and edits two additional shows: Endnotes, which highlights faculty books, and #Changemakers, which features SPIA alumni. Prior to coming to Princeton, Rose was the science writer at the University of Pittsburgh and, before that, the assistant director of public relations at the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC). She writes about research as a freelancer for the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) and the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UPMC), and she’s also worked for non-profit organizations in Washington, D.C., and Pittsburgh. Rose earned a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from the University of Baltimore and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and English from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
