Annemarie Iker, GS, ART

Position
University Administrative Fellow
Bio/Description

A Ph.D. candidate in Art & Archaeology at Princeton University, Annemarie Iker studies modern European art. She was a University Administrative Fellow (UAF) in Collection Development at the Princeton University Library, where she was mentored by Patty Gaspari-Bridges, Assistant University Librarian for Collection Development.

"My thanks to Patty Gaspari-Bridges and her colleagues at the Princeton University Library for making my UAF so rewarding! Over a single semester, I had the opportunity to learn about different divisions in academic libraries, from scholarly collections and research services to special collections and information technology.

Patty, the Assistant University Librarian for Collection Development, taught me how academic libraries expand their collections in collaboration with university staff, faculty, and students. In addition, she supervised my individual project on current diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives at Ivy Plus libraries. I am grateful to Patty for welcoming me into the PUL, now a second home on campus!

Now, because of the University Administrative Fellowship, I have a much better sense of day-to-day work in research libraries and of ongoing developments in librarianship."
