Event Description
The Future Faculty series for science and engineering is designed for graduate students and postdocs who are a few years from the faculty job market. This series will provide clarity of faculty life in diverse institutions, revealing essential skills and mindsets for career success. Through data-transparency, a systems lens, and knowledge of resources and opportunities, you can craft an intentional plan for professional development, while learning from Princeton faculty, staff and alumni who serve as faculty in diverse institutions. 
The 2024 cohort of Future Faculty series for science and engineering graduate students and postdocs is scheduled on July 29-31, 12-4 pm. The series will wrap with a reception on July 31 at 4 pm.

Day 3: DEI and Faculty Life in Diverse Institutions

  • Grantsmanship: systems view, approaches, skills and mindset for success 
  • Growing interdisciplinary and collaborative research program
  • Panel on Faculty life in diverse institutions: PhD alumni who serve as faculty in R1, liberal arts college and community college will share about their professional lives and distinct experiences.

The series will wrap with a networking reception for speakers and attendees at 4 pm.
