This series will provide clarity of faculty life in diverse institutions, revealing essential skills and mindsets for career success. Through data-transparency, a systems lens, and knowledge of resources and opportunities, you can craft an intentional plan for professional development, while learning from Princeton faculty, staff and alumni who serve as faculty in diverse institutions. The 2023 cohort of Future Faculty series for science and engineering graduate students and postdocs is scheduled on Aug 7-Aug 9, 12-4 pm. The series will wrap with a reception on Aug 9 at 4.30 pm.Day 3: Grantsmanship, Inclusive Teaching and Faculty Life in Diverse InstitutionsDay 3 of Future Faculty series for science and engineering on August 9, 12-4 pm will include following topics: Grantsmanship: systems view, approaches, skills and mindset for success by Judith Swan, Associate Director for Writing in Science and Engineering, Princeton Writing Program Inclusive Teaching: from ideas to action, Julie Yun, Associate Dean, Office of Diversity and Inclusion, Princeton Engineering Panel on Faculty life in diverse institutions: PhD alumni who serve as faculty in R1, liberal arts college and community college will share about their professional lives and distinct experiences. Lunch will be served. Reception. The series will wrap with a networking reception for speakers and attendees at 4 pm.
