When you tell a story, your memories, emotions, and drive to action are activated at once – both for the storyteller and their audience. This makes storytelling our most powerful form of communication, combining executive reasoning and empathy to build communities of shared learning and action.

In this 90-minute, hands-on workshop, Princeton PhD and serial entrepreneur Carol Barash will teach you how to use the science of storytelling to build support for your big ideas and social ventures. You will learn how to translate a person's story to the story of an issue and how to present these stories to key stakeholders to move your social initiative forward.

The workshop is built on Carol Barash’s patented Moments Method®, providing simple, scalable tools for people interested in social entrepreneurship and social impact – across STEM, Social Sciences, and Humanities – and has been taught to leaders at a wide range of organizations, including KIPP, Black Girls Code, Mastercard, Guardian, and J&J.

Humanities graduate students: this is a chance to practice applying your knowledge and training to career paths beyond the academy.
