Event Description

Join us for the first session of "Graduate Education: Then, Now, Next," a GradFUTURES Learning Cohort. We'll be joined by guests including Leonard Cassuto, author of The Graduate School Mess (Harvard UP) and co-author of The New PhD (Johns Hopkins UP).

“Graduate Education: Then, Now, Next” will focus on the historical realities, the present pressing issues, and the future of graduate education in North America and globally. We'll do this by drawing on higher ed experts from Princeton and beyond. This workshop is designed for current graduate students, as well as graduate alumni, faculty, and administrators. Together we'll think about how we got to this place--and where we can go from here.

Speakers: Leonard Cassuto, Kimberly Akano, James M. Van Wyck

This event is part of the GradFUTURES FORUM-- a week-long conference dedicated to graduate student professional development and "Broadening the Impact of the Ph.D, within and Beyond the Academy."
