This event will showcase one session of a GradFUTURES Learning Cohort series that build graduate learning communities around a societal, academic or industry trends. All are welcome to join to attend this session to learn more. It is part of the GradFUTURES FORUM, a week-long conference dedicated to graduate student professional development and “Broadening the Impact of the Ph.D, within and Beyond the Academy.

Interested in drug discovery? Join Donald Kirsch *78, Princeton Ph.D. in Biology, author of The Drug Hunter, The Improbable Quest to Discover New Medicine for a book talk that will kick off the Drug Discovery Learning Cohort for Princeton Graduate Students, where Don will share his insights into the drug discovery process and career in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries.

Don has been a drug hunter for thirty-five years, holds twenty-seven drug-related patents, has written more than fifty research publications, has been a reviewer and served on multiple NIH study section panels, a research director at Wyeth, Cyanamid and Squibb, the chief scientific officer at Cambria Pharmaceuticals, and currently teaches drug discovery at Harvard Extension School. He lives in NYC.
