Micro Internship Program Eligibility The GradFUTURES Micro Internship program provides paid, part-time industry internship experience and an opportunity to apply discipline-specific training to interdisciplinary project(s) while working under the direction of an industry mentor. With faculty adviser approval, and in compliance with the Graduate School’s employment policy, Ph.D. students may participate in a paid, external internship/fellowship with a private-sector organization for up to 10 hours per week. International Ph.D. students may be subject to additional limitations based on work authorization. The organization agrees to pay the Ph.D. student directly for hours worked at an hourly rate for the duration of this fellowship/internship. Research Scientist-Advanced Measurements Colgate-Palmolive invites applications to a Research Scientist position under the Cross-Category Research & Innovation team located in Piscataway NJ. The recruited candidate will work closely with the oral care and personal care categories to understand tooth structures and micelle systems to evaluate the efficacies of the oral care and personal care products under different conditions. This is a one-year opportunity with a potential to renew at the end of the term. The key responsibilities of this position are as follows: Apply holistic design perspectives on ingredient interactions aimed for increasing the efficacy/ effectiveness of experimental delivery systems. Conduct experiments investigating complex fluid systems with the aim to build fundamental understandings on key active ingredients in order to identify appropriate delivery systems such as surfactants, polymers, particulates, and mixtures and evaluate their impacts on delivery and product stability, applying these learnings to impact future product development and advance project objectives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize novel formulation designs & understandings with the goal to stabilize and enhance the efficacy of key active ingredients The initial targeted system of interest is focused on increasing deposition and delivery of active ingredients for Oral Care products along with novel delivery systems such as natural-based delivery vehicles. Scientific Communications Specialist (2 internships available in this area) This role in Scientific Communications is within the Research & Development Organization at Colgate-Palmolive. It is a unique role that combines scientific and technical expertise with creative thinking and communication skills. Working in the Research and Development organization, you will be embedded in scientific teams to help bring these scientific stories to life. This role works in close partnership with R&D, Scientific Affairs, and Global Professional to deliver content such as technical publications and presentations, simple graphic designs, and more.
