As the preeminent representative of American scholarship in the humanities and related social sciences, ACLS holds a core belief that knowledge is a public good. As such, ACLS strives to promote the circulation of humanistic knowledge throughout society. ACLS Announces Emerging Voices Fellowship The American Council of Learned Societies is pleased to announce the Emerging Voices Fellowship, a new program supporting early-career scholars in the humanities and humanistic social sciences. At a time of economic downturn and uncertainty in the academe, this program seeks to identify and assist a vanguard of scholars whose voices, perspectives, and broad visions will strengthen institutions of higher education and humanistic disciplines in the years to come.
