Transportation and Parking Services UAF

Fellowship Description

Transportation and Parking Services is seeking a University Administrative Fellow to partner with our office as we continue to redesign the TigerTransit timetable and navigation experience on campus. This Fellow will undertake a project to explore best practices and propose a revised communication solution for Princeton’s TigerTransit network that includes:

•       A peer review of transit scheduling communication strategies and tools used by other institutions, large employees, and small public transit agencies.
•       An assessment of existing TigerTransit wayfinding solutions (what is working, what is not working and why).
•       Develop focus groups or user experience sessions to explore how existing or new riders interact with transit information.

Fellow will have access to existing timetables and API connections to real-time arrival and geolocation data. Proposal for a new communication experience may take the form of digital or print materials, a webpage, or app integrations.

Pending proposed solution and timeline, this role has the potential to expand into Spring fellowship. This work may include other administrative tasks in support of transportation services outreach and communications or other opportunities tailored to the UAF’s interests and academic expertise.
The ideal candidate will ideally have experience with graphic design and/or app or website development (programming, front-end development, API, etc.).
