Fellowship Description The fellow will join a team of five at the Princeton Research Data Service (PRDS) and contribute to one or more of the following ongoing projects:- Adapting existing web content into a new handbook for data management at Princeton. The goal of this project is to redesign the content in our Research Lifecycle Guide to improve usability and accessibility, based in part on recommendations made by the GradFutures Consulting Learning Cohort. - Exploring CoreTrustSeal requirements for trustworthy data repositories, comparing the requirements to the current features of our data repository, and creating a roadmap to meet these requirements.- Contributing to the Research Data Stewardship Program as we seek microcredentialing (badging) for participants, package the content of the program for reuse by other institutions, and prepare the program content for Spring 2025.- Participating in user testing tasks for the user interface for TigerData (under development).By participating in these projects, the fellow will expand their understanding of research data management and contribute to the real work that goes into maintaining research data infrastructure, and educational and outreach programs. PRDS hosts Princeton’s data repository, Princeton Data Commons, provides research data management support to Princeton researchers across all disciplines, and hosts a number of educational programs promoting research data stewardship.
