Role Social Impact Fellowship Mentor Bio/Description Boris Anatol’evich Ravdin is a governing member of the Latvian Society of Russian Culture. He is a longtime resident of Riga, a graduate of the philology faculty of the University of Latvia, and a prolific author. In the 1990s, he worked as an editor for the influential literary journal Daugava. Boris Anatol’evich has published on a variety of topics, including the history of Latvia under Nazi German occupation, Latvian Russian culture in the interwar period, and most recently, the life and times of Archbishop John of Riga. Multiple generations of philologists and historians have benefited from his mentorship. Boris Anatol’evich has taught Russian literature at the Queen Mary University of London and has lectured widely throughout Europe.
