Bio/Description

I am a fourth year PhD Student in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, completing a High Meadows Environmental Institute Science, Technology, and Environmental Policy (HMEI-STEP) Fellowship. I am advised by Corina Tarnita and Elke Weber, and I conduct interdisciplinary research exploring pathways to achieve cultural transitions to more sustainable societies. I am passionate about conducting big-picture theoretical work while maintaining direct applicability to policy and social movements.

As a graduate student, it's easy to be fully immersed in conducting research, but it's incredibly valuable to dedicate time to exploring what type of work the world really needs doing. Connecting with other researchers and practitioners from within and outside of academia has enabled me to direct my research to the most relevant questions and to begin finding ways that my skills can have the greatest impact on the issues that I'm passionate about.

I am a University Administrative Fellow working to develop the Sustainability and Science Policy Learning Cohorts for the Spring '25 semester. Working with GradFUTURES has exposed me to a huge range of possible career paths and helped me to discover what aspects of my work are most exciting to me and how to find a career that emphasizes my strengths and passions.
