Barbara Andrew is the Honors College Dean. She believes that every student is capable of producing a high quality senior thesis. She has been in charge of the Honors College since the summer of 2015; has grown its enrollment; diversified its student population; and increased its first-year retention and four-year graduation rates. Dean Andrew holds an undergraduate degree from Vassar College, a graduate certificate in Women’s Studies and master’s and doctoral degrees in Philosophy from the University at Stony Brook. Dr. Andrew served as Chair of the Department of Philosophy from 2011 until her appointment as interim Honors College Director in 2015. She has taught at William Paterson University since 2002. Previously, she taught at the University of Oregon and the University of Montana.
